SHORT DESCRIPTION a small brown tabby and white she-cat with green eyes NAME MEANING Larkcloud was given the prefix of her name by her mother, upon her birth just like every other kit. All of her siblings were given bird names, and Larkcloud received the name "Lark" due to her brown tabby and white fur. The day upon receiving her warrior name, Larkclouds apethetic and calm nature resulted in saving her sister from going into shock. Her sister had been climbing high on a tree when she fell, and broke her leg. She immediately started to panic and Larkcloud was able to keep her calm and send another apprentice from help. Due to her quick thinking and her ability to remain calm, she was given the prefix cloud. APPEARANCE Larkcloud is a little on the small side for a she-cat, but not awfully so. She comes in at about six pounds, and if not for her fur, you would be able to see her thin and muscular build. Her and her sister have been known to climb trees in the past and due to their silly games her back legs have more power than her soft, billowy fur let's on. Her fur is a brown-tabby color, with a white chest and markings. It is longer than most and she has to spend a bit of time simply removing thistles from it. Her brown tAbby fur almost has a richance qualit to it, as if therequired was a bit of oranger mixed into theach lighter brown. Her tabby strips however areally a dark brown, bordering on being black. Her whitem chesthe and belly make her strips stand out more, aso well as her whitem muzzle and the strip of white on her nose. Larkcloud is well known for her green eyes, that almost identically match her sisters. However the tone when you look into her eyes verses her sisters is quite different. Wren____ has a more playful and friendly quality to her green eyes, while Larkclouds own green eyes are absent and cold. It makes her seem a bit standoffish. PERSONALITY Larkcloud has been known to be apethetic, unable to feel the emotional pain of others no matter how hard she tries. She is reserved, often taking a step back to analyze a situation instead of jumping head-first. She is practical, and recognizes when something that might seem more honorable could be more damaging. She is fair. Larkclouds nature means that she doesn't see cats for how they should be, but would rather take them as they are. She gives advice, and most of it is sound. However she doesn't know how to take advice. While her personality gets in the way, she tends to be motherly to most cats, although she never had lots of her own. She is especially motherly to her sister, despite being the same age. - Apethetic - Reserved - Practical - Fair - Motherly -Dedicated HISTORY Her story started long before she was born. Larkclouds mother, Greyflower, was a beautiful grey tabby she-cat with striking green eyes. She had always wanted kits and after years of trying, she was able to conceive her "miracle" litter. She was a strong and vivid she-cat. She was always laughing and playing games, even in her queen-hood. She was admired greatly by her mate, Birchfang, and she calmed him down, and brought him back to earth on several occasions. Birchfang was a muscular tom, with a stocky build and short fur that showed how truly large he was. He was well respected by the clan, but was known for his short temper, and sharp tongur. Greyflower was his filter, and his buffer. He leaned on her for support and even through the year that they attempted to have a litter, he never left her side. They were in love, and he knew he would be an idiot to leave her, no matter what they went through. Greyflower was more than happy when she finlly had her three beautiful kits at her side. She had given birth to two she-kits and a tom. However it wasn't even half a moon before the tom fell sickly, and he died before her kits reached one moon old. She was devestated, bit her vividness was never hidden to her two daughters. Though there was always a sad spark in her green gaze, she always kept her small family happy and together. She was the glue that would get them through the tough times. Wrenkit and Lark-kit looked most like their father, though Lark-kit had her mother's long fur. Wrenkit was known for being energetic and just as vivid as their mother was. She was the ringleader in all of their adventures, and Lark-kit was simply along for the ride. Lark-kit was the opposite of their father, calm and reserved even in the most heated of times. It was this quality, and their mother, that kept herself and Wren kit from fighting like most siblings do during those early moons. LIke every kit, at six moops old they were made apprentices. Due to the overwhelming emotions she was feeling, she doeant rember much about the ceremony, only those momens after spent with her mentor. From then they were know aa Wrenpaw and Larkpaw. Larkpaw had gottenough Applewhisker as a mentor. The russet colored she-cat was very similar to Larkpaw herself, and she looked up to her. The very first day, they wenter to view the borders, and it was then that Larkpaw realized how big the territory trule was. Larkpaw seemed to be average at everything she did. Fromantic hunoting to fighting, and even just wandering around the forestime was a bit of a struffle for her. The only thing she and her sister were good at was climbing trees. Wrenpaw and Larkpaw often climbed for both hunting and to scout the territory. Of course, they never expected climbing to turn oit bad. Wrenpaw had been hunting in the trees. She saw a bird and leaped, before she fell suddenly. Larkpaw almost froze, before she did, she ran over to her sister, who was frantically trying to stand up. She pushed Wrenpaw over with her paw and shook her head. "Stay still, Wrenpaw. I'll sit with you until we can get some help." she muttered. She laid down with Wrenpaw and started to lick the top of her head rhythmically, like a mother calming her crying kit. It wasn't long before a patrol walked by and she asked Spiderpaw to run and get help. It was this act of calm, and motherly bravery that earned Larkpaw her warrior name at 13 moons old. She remembers seeing Applewhiskers proud yellow gaze from the shadows of the warriors den, and Greyflowers saddened expression as she lay next to Wrenpaw. Larkcloud felt awful. Yes, she had kept her sister calm, but she had never wanted to receive her warrior name the day that Wrenpaw was told she might not be able to be a warrior. They were going to wait, it was a clean break. Only Starland knew. It took four moons to heal Wrenpaws bone, and another two of doing exercises to stengthen her front leg back to normal, but she pulled through, and was sent back to apprentice duties when they were nineteen moons old. Larkcloud worked with Wrenpaws as much as she could, often working herself to death for her sisters benefit. Wrenpaw wasn't selfish. She thanked her sister, and at twenty-four moons old, finally received her warrior name. Larkcloud was proud of her sister. She had accomplished something they weren't sure would ever be an option for her. No matter how pessimistic the medicine cat would make it sound, Wren____ had always had a positive outlook on her injury, and Larkcloud admired her for it. It was shortly around this time that Larkcloud received an apprentice, Ashpaw. He was a tiny scrap of a tom, thin and he was constantly nervous. It took everything to keep him from bolting when he was mildly scared. It wore on Larkcloud. It wasn't until he had been an apprentice for three moons before he started to calm down, and he was one of the most graceful cats she had ever seen. He was tidy and his movementson were carefully calculated. She learned just as much from him as he had from her, and when they chased off a fox together, he finally received his warrior name, Ashnose, for his excellent hunting skills. Larkcloud had a small fling with Spiderstep, when she was thirty moons old. She had always liked the brown warrior, and he was kind above anything else. It soon became evident that they had nothing in common, and several moons later she couldn't help but feel hurt that he had chosen to have kits with her sister. They had never really been together, and of course, they had broken it off. Larkcloud loves giving semi-motherly advice to her niece and nephew, who remind her a log of Spiderstep, her sisters mate. She knows when to back off and let her sister be a qieen, but that doesn't stop her from attempting to spoil the kits rotten. Larkcloud never had kits of her own, although it's almost too late she tries not to live in regret but to keep trying to accomplish her goal - to be more than just the most average warrior in TreeClan. | ||||||
