The Lake

further down the river, past the boundaries of Clan territory to the south, the stream empties out into a small lake, nested snugly in between the more mountainous territories on one side of it and the hills on the other, leading further into Twoleg land. this lake is close enough to both city cat territory and to the rogues' woodlands that either group might find themselves coming here from time to time, though it is much more of a journey for rogue cats, who have to travel either through TreeClan's forests to get there or through the more mountainous area to the west. during the full moon, however, both city cats and rogues are granted permission to travel through the Clans' territories to reach this lake - as the Clan cats meet on the shore every moon to share their news at Gatherings, and the warrior code allows for any non-Clan cats to attend these as well if they so wish. on account of TreeClan's aversion to both water and Twolegs, these meetings take place on TreeClan's side of the river, within the mountainous terra just below their borders and far away from Twoleg lands. every half moon, medicine cats also come here to drink from the lake and share tongues with their StarClan ancestors.
