Old Treecut Place

a large clearing in the otherwise-dense forest serves as an ideal place for a camp for many woodland cats. there are a few tree trunks here, but still more of them seem to have been uprooted completely, leaving only bare dirt and grass - and a half-built Twoleg structure of some kind, apparently abandoned before it had been completely finished. still, the slight shelter that it provides - along with the mostly-finished roof - is welcomed by many cats who make their home here.

Sunless Woods

the thickest, densest portion of the woods is where most woodland cats frequent, and where the prey runs best. the tall, thick canopy of trees provides little light, and some cats like to say that the forest here looks to be in a state of 'perpetual twilight.' there are a few ponds scattered throughout the woods that make for good, cool places to lie near or drink from, though they freeze somewhat easily in the cold season.

Willow Grove

a grove of especially low-hanging trees lies deep in the heart of the rogue lands, a stark contrast to the taller pines and hardwood trees that make up most of the territory. the wispy branches make for more light than is usually common in these woods. these branches, though a little more brittle and narrow than some, are close enough to the ground that this is an ideal place to climb trees to try and go for a bird or squirrel.

Forest's Edge

at the farthest edge of the woodland, the trees begin to thin out a bit - the only warning before the sudden drop of the cliffsides here. below, strong, saltwater waves lap at the exposed earth, though not many cats would dare to make their way down to the water at all. still, there are a few known safe paths down the steep slope, and some who especially enjoy swimming might be known to try it sometime - or to try catching a fish when the woodland prey becomes too scarce.

Woodland Territory
past the edges of TreeClan's borders, where the forest grows denser and harder to navigate, is the territory of the woodland cats. these rogues are considered flighty and mysterious even by their already-skittish TreeClan neighbors, and much about their ways of life is unknown to those who do not dwell in their woods.
