The Mountains

south of the dense forests that most rogue cats call home, and to the west of the Clan's sacred lake, the territory becomes more mountainous. the steep cliffs and treacherous mountain paths mean that cats do not often come here, though prey is said to be quite plentiful among the crevices in the stone, with mice, shrews, and adders making their homes here. still, the general lack of resources or any real shelter means that Clan cats at least do not travel here often, save for in the very rare cases that a hunting party might be sent here when prey is especially scarce. occasionally, loner cats have been known to make their homes here, though usually not for very long. the rogue cats' legends say that when one is to scale to the top of these mountains at night, the voices of cats long since gone can be heard from the sky, and some cats might visit here from time to time to try and catch the whispers of their lost loved ones.
